Nintendo need help

Doing a region based on Hawaii with no lava based mons is strait up sinful. We got two mons that are volvano based, but Hawaii is in the top 3 places in the damn world to see lava flows and we got nothing lava based.

I have no idea what kind of animal this should be based on, but a lava mon should be rock type with a unique ability that gives all damaging moves a chance to inflict burn.

This is the main reason I was hopeful for Rock/Fire Alolan Golem. Though I think the veins on Salandit and Salazzle are meant to be like lava flows. Though they could have at least brought in Slugma to Alola

I consider sandalit to be volcano based for sure, but it looks to me to be based on poisonous volcanic gasses and fumes. But I hadn't considered that sandalit's markings do somewhat resemble lava flows.

There are trees that have roots that seek out volcanic lava tunnels, because water flows through the tubes. I don't remember what they were called but I saw them on planet earth or some similar program.

Mostly Ohia trees in that area. They're just really early colonizers and just very variable habitat wise. They're the main rainforest canopy tree, they're among the first to colonize lava flows, they grow into stunted shrubs in alpine bogs, etc. They have variable flower colors and the birds Oricorio is based off of usually sip nectar from them. They had the flower meadows in game instead though. There's currently a fungus killing off a couple thousand acres on the big island, so it's on full quarantine so as to not spread it to the population on other islands.
