Adamant + Thick club are a must. Earthquake and Shadow Bone work well, and Flare Blitz is great if you want to run Rock Head.

Depends on format. If it's Battle Tree, that 10% will fuck you up. If it's not a streak-based format I prefer Bonemerang, but if you have multi-hit moves already (probably Water Shuriken) it might not be worth it.

If you're running the bulky set, or SD/Lightningrod, there's a major case for Fire Punch. For the most part though, you've already got Shadow Bone for STAB damage without recoil.

If it's for Trick Room, just use protect. It lets you scout coverage and waste TR turns if you need. Anything is better than what you've got. I'm not sure whether Bone or EQ is better though. If it could OHKO 252 HP Carbink then it would be worth it, but it caps out at 94%

While that's all well and good, in OU/Doubles, countering Tapu Koko and Xurkitree is a huge part of Marowak's role on a team. In doubles especially, protecting a teammate from Electric attacks can be a core part of a strategy.
To quote smogon's overview - "its typing in combination with the Lightningrod ability also grants it a unique palette of resistances (Fire, Grass, Bug, Ice, Fairy, Poison, Steel) and immunities (Normal, Fighting, Electric), allowing to effectively check some of OU's most dangerous threats such as Pheromosa, Genesect, Tapu Koko, Xurkitree, Kartana and Mega Mawile, among others"
