Not really, lots of episodes have their own messages. Again, you're missing the point of the show.

That's really compacting a larger topic on the series and is a part of it's strong points.

The show doesn't need to be all forward pressing plot the entire time. The setting is about just existing and dealing with the situation they've been thrown into. That doesn't intrinsically disclude the show from being written well. There's so many parts of the series that deal with complex niche issues that focus on telling people it's ok to be who they are. Admittedly I don't expect that to be the most popular thing here, and I'll agree the fanbase is unsufferable. I think these issues SU brings up are important to talk about and to help reach people who feel alienated, but I do see that it becomes too close to tumblrinas and a multitude of other horrible parts of tolerance movements that have become awful shit stains of humanity.

Not all of it is about lesbianism. A lot of times it's trying to write about other things and fans decide it's lesbianism because they want it to be. Peridot and Lapis is a common example of the fans deciding they were lesbians when the writers specifically were against it.

I don't feel like the writers try to appeal to the tumblrinas as much as people think. They're trying to talk about a lot of different complex issues and fans blur it all together and make it a part of their message. I also think just because the two individuals are female doesn't exactly make it about lesbianism, but specific romantic issues. Pearl is about desperation,all the time and in many ways. Lapis and Jasper are about being stuck in an abusive relationship. Garnet is about two opposites fitting well with each other.

I see a lot of relatable issues in SU, and they're not about tearing down social standards to me. There's complex friendship encounters, dealing with your mom dying, the thanksgiving episode worked on a lot of levels for family that doesn't get a lot of attention.

I'm sorry if I just sound like what you hate about SU fans, I just find a lot of human messages in the series, not activism.
