I usually play as the male character on one game and the female on the other but I played Rosa on both Black 2 and White 2 because Nate's hair is just really fucking stupid.

Pretty much, Nate is the fucking worst.

Nate and Rosa both look like they got a toddler to pick their clothes for them. At least to my eye, their clothes feel really dissonant, Rosa's especially.

I like all the protagonists, but I like Lyra slightly less than the rest. She looks a lot better without the dumb hat though.

DP male was very forgettable compared to miss postergirl for the DP anime
BW2 male had a dumb hair and visor hat compared to super princess donuts, but I can't completely hate him because he at least has that to remember him by compared to "I have medium hair and wear a baseball cap" to select from the others.

The male protags are just very forgettable in general. Some of the female protags are guilty of this too but at least there are a few strongly distinguishable ones.
