These changes make sense but only upset people because they came after the fact instead of at release, like the egg hatching speed limit.

But I'm not an apologist. The handling of the tracker was idiotic. The sighting tracker is trash but it wasn't completely useless, whereas the Nearby tracker IS completely useless if there's one Stop off in the distance. They tried to mediate it when there's enough space for both, but they should've had two separate views for each tracker at all times (Nearby being empty if no Stops).

I don't know if that counts as removal but it does count as incompetent.

Do you even know what rooting is? tip: people do it for completely legitimate reasons that have nothing to do with pokemon. I have a rooted tablet which I rooted just to use specific browsers and to get certain controllers working on it and it worked fine to play pogo with initially, and I enjoyed using a larger interface on it when I was at home, but now I'm blocked from doing so. obviously you live in a priveleged area with a large pokestop density. For a lot of people they have no feasible pokestops within walking range, but a single pokestop within 800m will remove 6 spots from the sightings list. This is the main reason why I stopped playing. I mapped and learned all of the nearby spawns to me so I would know where things spawned if I paid attention. With the 'nearby pokestop' introduction it made it useless because it reduced my sightings to 3, but showed me some pokestops 800m away that arent feasible to visit (which I would have to drive to if I wanted to get to them reasonable by the way, but apparently the game isn't about driving?

going back to you saying 'they are things that should've been done at the start': every 'feature' and 'fix' that has been done so far should have been done from the start, as well as so many overdue ones that they haven't even acknowledged. That was part of my point on it being a 'minimum viable product'. It is not up to the standard of any reasonable game, and there is no indication of it reaching that point any time soon

everything has been tiny fixes, ui upgrades and witheld content
the fact that hanke said that they have no plans to implement pvp in the near future is the real nail in the coffin
there are less features than gen 1 which was over 20 years ago now

Whether you imply that the damage done by the defender is calculated based on its defense stat or that a high def IV mon will last longer for enough time to make up for the difference between it and a mon with higher attack, you might be retarded.
Defense is the stat with the least worth in this game. Attack makes your mons hit stronger and is twice as valuable in terms of CP calculations compared to other stats, and HP makes a lot more impact on a defending mon's survivability, since it gets doubled.

Gyms aren't just about attacking you dongpiece, Raichu (and Pidgeot for that other anon) are two of my best Prestigers
A shitmon would be Fearow, Dodrio, Magneton, etc, who have no redeeming moves to make up for their lack of CP.

Pidgeot can tank through gyms when training, in return for tonnes of prestige since it's CP is low. Raichu does the same vs the masses of Vaporeons/Gyrados' you see.

Just today I read OP for the first time in months. Since everyone was talking about nest rotation, I decided to look up the nest atlas. It actually was up to date, and showed a nest of a mon I had never seen before (Magmar) just 1km away.

Went out, caught a few, just in time before the rotation. Thank you /pgg/ OP post for informing me about nests. Even in my rural area the info is up to date.
