injecting doesnt give someone an unfair advantage in battle, if you've bred a pokemon and ev trained it it wouldnt have any difference to an injected one, it just takes more time

I use bred only mons, sometimes with no perfect IVs and I do just fine.

Save one time this injected cloyster outsped my gyarados by exactly 1 speed, 133 vs 134

You should be running your Gyara at least with 134 Speed, don't go Adamant.

With 134 at +1, you outspeed the base 130 by one point. At 133 you net 199, losing to them.

It was your mistake, don't use Adamant Gyarados unless is running TWave.
