>Everyone in the Rocket Gang have had some leisurely and lazy days. But one day, they receive a call from HQ. HQ wants to know if their activities in the Alola region are going well or not. The Rocket Gang somehow manages to give them a report that smooths things over. However, they realize they can't just continue on like this, and decide to aim for getting a new Pokémon.

>Satoshi's classmate Mao tells him that the Pancake Race will soon take place. This is a race where Trainers and Pokémon work together to carry pancakes stacked up on a plate to the goal as fast as they can without the stack collapsing. A random commentary from an amourfag forum:

Well there is a trend going on with the "new" character (Serena) devolopment episodes:
Lana episode 5
Fat clemont episode 6=5 +1
Lillie episode 8=6+2
Kiawe episode 11=8+3
following the trend mallows character episode would be 15=11+4
and then the next new character devolop episode would be 15 +5 = 20
So on SM episode 20 a new character could potentionaly join the cast or traveling group, I don't know what would happen between 16-19 though but Ash has to go to Akala to do his 3 trials + grand trial at one point and 20 episodes per island seems reasonable. It all depends on poké ani/company's execution dicissions.

Also SM episode 20 is in march and close to the pokéani 20(wouldn't be suprised that there will be a break for a 1 hour special 19-20 or 20-21 on 30th maybe). Seems like we are in for a big suprise and the hardly a spoiler preview last year supports this too.
