Best is Rayquaza. Completes the land/sea/sky theme of the trio, acting as a contrast to both Groudon and Kyogre without seeming like too much of an outsider.

Worst is Zygarde. Xerneas is life, Yveltal is death, Zygarde is... eco-terrorism? Doesn't fit at all. Also there's no lore that integrates it with the Xerneas/Yveltal lore whatsoever. Just plain stupid.

Zygarde has dog forme and gundam forme (which is uber)
Kyurem has 2 forms (one of which is Uber)
Necrozma is UU and has no other form.

There's clearly more to Necrozma than what we already know, so it's not entirely fair to compare it now, but if we're just comparing everything as is without alt forms or evos or whatever:

According to what? Pokedex and anime just says it's a guardian of the ecosystem. Sun and Moon hints that it may be trying to show up to protect the earth from the UB. The balance between life and death thing seems to be total fanon.

I like Necrozma. But I don't really like it as the "third legendary". I guess it's because the design is way too weird for me for some reason to be the "third legendary". It looks like what the other guy has stated, it's a broken mess. That broken mess also made me kinda like it apparently, it's such a weird situation.
