>Everyone in the Rocket Gang have had some leisurely and lazy days. But one day, they receive a call from HQ. HQ wants to know if their activities in the Alola region are going well or not. The Rocket Gang somehow manages to give them a report that smooths things over. However, they realize they can't just continue on like this, and decide to aim for getting a new Pokémon.

SM13 - The Great Alola Pancake Race! (Feb 2nd)
>Satoshi's classmate Mao tells him that the Pancake Race will soon take place. This is a race where Trainers and Pokémon work together to carry pancakes stacked up on a plate to the goal as fast as they can without the stack collapsing. Satoshi gets really interested and enters the Pancake Race together with Pikachu.

SM14 - The Fruit of Courage: Lilie and Rokon! (Feb 9th)
>The Pokémon egg Satoshi and his friends have all been taking care of together finally hatches, and they're all really excited about it. Lilie has been in charge of the egg, and her emotions towards it hatching are really strong. But she is still unable to touch Pokémon, so she ends up feeling down about the entire thing. And then, after school that day, an ominous shadow has its eyes set on Lilie while she's on her way home.

It's not even just that, it's also that Ash doesn't even do anything interesting while hanging out with Lana and Lillie besides standing around and saying "SUGEEEEIIII!" like a blithering idiot.

The butler battle just made it even worse because instead of interacting with Lillie in a truly meaningful way, Ash fucked off to do that battle for the last five minutes of the episode. Hell, fucking Mallow had more meaningful interaction with Lillie in that episode than Ash did.

Those episodes were major missed opportunities to give something of an interesting dynamic between Ash and his schoolmates. I was so disappointed.
