Op Here. Also here is the templates

The idea is a slacker gym. The gym was owned by the father of the current gym leader, who trained fighting types. The gym is a generic fighting gym, punching bags, people exercising, etc. All the trainers have fighting types. The father gave the gym leader a scraggy to get him interested in fighting types. This plan backfired. Father is now part of the E4 and the son was forced to take control over the gym. Players make their way to the back office. Pizza boxes stacked near the door. Basically looks like a messy dorm room.

The idea was just to psych out people coming in prepared for fighting types.

holy fuck I'm back from photshop hell. The idea behind this gym is simply that it's just a bunch of guys who like to watch fighting, but can't actually fight, just fellas who enjoy a good fight on the tv. Gym would be mostly inhabited by super nerds and one very confused black belt wondering why this "dojo" has so many TVs and wires everywhere.

I like your gym leaders, they're cool, they also has good taste in mons but shit taste in memes. Pretty solid t b h. Fuck Gardevoir tho.
>>31313322
doing all of them took dedication, and your choices are pretty neat. your badges are shit though, but I can't really talk. good stuff baby boy.
>>31313608
I didn't even think to use z moves, I also really like the sprite work on the Lycans, as you can tell I'm a big fan of split evos myself.
I like what you're putting down anon, keep it up.

I like the mon choices and the gym concept is kinda cool if a bit gimmicky. I image it would be a mind-blowing twist if people didn't look everything up these days.
>>31312010
Like most of the mons chosen, but according to all known laws of aviation, there is no way a Mega Scizor should be able to fly in your Signature PKMN pic. Apart from the Ribombee, good team.
>>31314261
Holy shit, nice animation and mons. Seems like a really fun gym concept, too.

>Ramshackle Badge
>Whole Gym is a "reclaimed" building, a hulking brick tower, extremely old pieces of defaced machinery lying out and around. Lighting is weird. Trainers all say off-kilter shit from each game's mandatory girl-joking-about-pokephilia line to a guy who just begins your battle by asking if he can taste you.
>Some machinery has been partially reconstructed into "modern art" some rooms just have murals next to gaping holes where whatever was initially installed had been torn out.
>Re-purposed machine sculptures make for puzzle floors, Mural rooms makes for a Morty-style collapsing floor level
>Progress up flights of stairs.
>Leader's room is accessed by a literal hole in a wall.
>It's polished, well kept, and orderly.
>Leader is nonchalant, a bit terse.

I don't know if steel or psychic would be appropriate.

Naw, I'm just being contrary. I understand it's functionally a dead slot, but I enjoy its design. Considering we're designing NPCs here, and it's next to an M-Metagross, I feel like wasting some space being cheesy is okay. If we're going psychic, depending on when its challenged before you fight it again post-game, it'd be in an Unown's slot. It keeps a rend of horrendously sub-optimal pokemon who share a certain je ne sais quoi. It doesn't exactly make for an all-out powerful trainer, but hopefully still an enjoyable one.

Gym looks like a therapist clinic, most likely to be a final gym.

As soon as you enter the gym, a nurse will ask some questions to analyze your general mindset as a player.

These questions determine the difficulty of the trainers as you go through the gym. Answers that imply competitiveness gives the trainers and leader stronger AI, answers that imply being more casual makes it weaker.

Most of the trainers are female, and dialogue pretty much show they're in trance.

Leader himself acts like a shady doctor, and tries to analyze the player himself based on their answers. He then pretty much shows a mild desire to mess with the player's mind himself.

Would it be super gay if I just reposted mine? I'm just gonna go ahead and do it

>Rock leader, gym is a lonely rock in the middle of a dusty savannah, looks almost like Uluru.
There are two paths in the gym; one on the outside, one that goes inside the rock. The battles of the outer path is always stuck in a sandstorm, while the cave-path always has Stealth Rocks up.
The outer path's trainers focus on defensive tactics, stalling and playing it safe, whilst the trainers inside focus on raw power, usually via costly tactics.

>The gym leader is part hiker, part zen monk/dirty hippy. He explains how his gym focuses on Rock types, who are made defensive but usually have great offensive prowess. His gym focuses on teaching both these sides to Rock pokemon.

>The slots with two pokemon show which pokemon he'll use; if you went through the cave path, he'll use the top one. Arrive via out path, the bottom one (e.g. Carracosta). Same goes for the TM you receive, cave gives you Rock Polish, outer gives you Rock Tomb.

>The Path badge represents the solid stone and jagged crystals of Rock types, linked together but distinct.

it seemed like a fun idea, so I selected a few gyms here (which is to say most; only ones disregarded were whole regions and duplicants, e.i., two beauty types and a tonne of psychic types) randomized 'em, and tried to string out an adventure based on how it progressed. What I got was:

You are a loser trainer in UNDESIRABLE TOWN, your parents have grown tired of hosting a NEET and kicked you out. Your friend tells you about how cush life is LUXURY CITY, so, having little else to lose you grab your starter and decide to head out, but before leaving town your friend drags you glitzed out arena, "Wild pokemon sure are scary, Anon, before you can say you're ready for your dangerous travels, you should prove yourself here first!" It's actually a contest hall, but it isn't programmed for contests, so you just go in and slaughter everyone who has movesets around contest performance and who aren't leveled at all. A rocker girl gives you a piece of chipped tile and calls it a badge so you'll stop terrorizing everyone. You had out of town and into a dense fielded area, acres and acres of farmland hosting every sort of agricultural good from wheat to cotton to lumber can be seen as you walk a singular dirt road leading you to a complex of processing plants. Most are uneventful, a couple of trainers and a slew of hidden items. Last building is dedicated to harvesting silk. A bee movie is playing on a big screen, workers say it's been looping for years, and an unforgiving foreman refuses to turn it off. Approaching said foreman reveals him to be a "gymleader". You soundly trump him and take his sole copy of a Bee movie out a nearby projector, it quantifies as a badge. As you make your hasty excape you come across a dilapidated building which looks like a cross between a silo and a block of flats. It's falling apart. Upon investigation, everyone in it is mental, most of its construction has been converted into an artistic approach to getting somebody killed. (1/2)

>>31312010
>silk trees
>not Oh Beehave

One room is in decent shape, and sitting alone in it is a man who casually insists a tetanus hive is a perfectly okay way for a building to be. You slap his shit and take a weird momento of twisted metal on your way out. As you get past said complex, any signs of a navigable road disappear and it seems like you can't harsh whatever terrain is front of you. Your friend shows up and points out GLORIOUS SOCIALIST STATE has a long-reaching sewer system. Going down a manhole reveals a small community settled into a malodorous home, calling itself a poison gym. >It's a poison gym. Having won and collected its badge, you move on and out until you hit sewer's end where it dumps into a small wastepond leading you into a desert: your last geographic obstacle between you and LUXURY CITY. Braving NOTLUXURIOUS DESERT brings you to a small colony of unwashed hippies nestled in a rock. You steamroll everyone while receiving some garbage about luxury being wasteful, material goods not leading to happiness, and whatever else people who don't believe in capitalism like to yammer about. After a bit more walking, you enter LUXURY CITY's gate, where you learn not everyone gets to get in: you have to be subjected to some psychological evaluation to make sure you won't disturb your fellow citizens and don't belong back out in NOTLUXURIOUS DESERT. You physically assault your proctor, which apparently makes you pass, he gives you some papers which work as badge number six, we guess. Now you've made it to luxury city, you've assumulated enough money from your wake of destruction getting here, and you'd like to unwind after having spent days travelling and fighting. You go to a massive complex dedicated only to televised entertainment, looking to relax. Turns out it's a gym, and you're obligated to clobber every SPORTSFAN in sight. Management appears after you've broken enough bones and gives you a lifetime concessions discount coupon if you'll just settle down. (2/3 oops)

In a big city, probably the second or third gym.

You go into the sewers and most of it is shoddily blocked off making a maze. The correct path leading to the gym has trainers on it (not explicitly said but they're placed on it, just for people to work it out).

You reach the end of the maze and come out of the sewers to a back street with a gang hideout. The leader of the gang is the gym leader who runs a poison team. Their general strategy is for Eviolite Mareanie to set up Toxic Spikes and for the rest of the team (and maybe Mareanie if it lives) to go for Venoshock.
>>
>>31320387
>>31320643
Now, even more tired, you emerge to find it's becoming dark. Your friend reappears, asking where you'll stay. Being a failure of a human, you forgot you have to organise having somewhere to sleep. He points you to a huge block of flats, "You've become a really strong trainer; I hear LAX VILLA's owner lets anyone who can prove himself in a pokemon battle stay!" You trudge past legions of preschoolers and pokemoms clutching levle 40 mon or two like its rent money until you make it to :AX VILLA's back office. A laid back 20-whatever year old tells you he, like most property owners in LUXURY CITY, gained ownership of his estate from a family member. He doesn't really care to be a landlord, and he just uses it as an excuse to milk great battles out of people. It ends predictably, and you go on to have comfy life until some villainous team decides to fuck all of creation into whatever.

Theme: Correctional facility.
Trainers heavily abuse status effects in the gym such as Twave, Swagger, Taunt. Later fights introduce the usage of Substitute, Punishment and Power Trip.

The gym layout would be like a prison, with dug-out tunnels connecting each of the rooms. Branching paths akin to Petalburg determine and allow you to choose which crime to deal with.

Leader's whole shtick is repentance, and how building yourself up (Power Trip) eventually leads you to getting knocked down even harder (Punishment). Spiritomb is there to represent the culmination of sins or whatever.

I tried to pick out mons that represent generic crimes (identity theft, mafia, etc.)

I know the badge is shit. Sue me.
