Purrloin's official art has it sitting down, and its gen 5 sprite has it sitting down, too. And yet, it stands all the time in the anime, and its gen 6 (and probably beyond) model has it standing.

Its 3D models should show the fire too, because it's in battle. It should have its fire quills out ready to go, cause it's in a fight. Its model in Refresh could show it with the fire retracted.
