Pokemon is coming to switch according to gamestop

There has been a pokemon game on every nintendo home console since the 64. This doesnt say main series game. Could just mean another spin off, could mean virtual console.

Not for the next 1.5 years, the 3ds still has games planned, after it will be phased out. I'm thinking it's a pokemon mystery dungeon or battle revolution esque game.

It'll be a Pokken port. Save costs on making an entirely new game and adds in all the characters put into the Arcade. Why bother putting them into the Wii U version, when it'll just be replaced by the Switch anyway.

The 3DS will likely get more games here and there but the Pokemon series along with every other Nintendo franchise will be moving to the Switch

Like we needed gamestop to tell us? Switch is a handheld technically so of course Pokemon would come to it. Even if it Nintendo didn't consider it a handheld it's not like Nintendo would continue Pokemon past gen 7 on a dying if not dead handheld that is the 3ds

To specify how the Switch is being marketed currently, in Japan it is being marketed as a handheld mostly, while for the west it is being marketed as mostly a console
