Yeah, it could be really cool. There would be a lot of references to cultures that we aren't very familiar with.

I'm all for it. However... the Japanese are known for their hatred of all non-asian and non-white people, so I doubt we'll ever get a game set in a country with a majority pop that isn't white or asian.

Mexico, Middle East, Africa, Sweden, India never ever. They'd be cool regions but it'll never happen.

Most likely all combined.
A tropical part with jungles and swamps.
A savanna area with a big Safari Zone where rare pokemon live.
A mountainous area with snow aka Kilimanjaro.
A huge desert with ruins of ancient civilization.
A far-away island where unique pokemon can be found aka Madagascar.

Id like it. Even if I do hate some African people, the region and tribes would be really nice to see. Maybe an evil team based off of colonials who hurt the Pokémon indigenous to the region
