When you join Team Rocket you get to choose a starter in the same way new trainers do; Zubat, Ekans, or Koffing. Team Rocket breeds those three as well as other pokemon like Rattata, Meowth, Sandshrew, and Drowzee specifically to distribute to their grunts. Since the grunts obviously don't get to keep any pokemon they steal, the pokemon they breed are rewarded to grunts for their work.

Okay, so taking the backpacker's words on Hoopa from X and Y, that one grunt in Team Aqua/Magma that confirms that Archie and Maxie were once on the same team, and Zinnia's knowledge of the multiverse and her actions during the Delta Episode, I've come to this theory

Archie, and Maxie were a part of the same team that did shenanigans with Hoopa and Zinnia/Aster were looking to use Hoopa as an alternative to get rid of the meteorite. Shit went crazy, Aster died, the cast as we knew them went to Hoenn and we see where they're left off and the remnants of the team that was doing the Hoopa shenanigans became Team Snagem.

Also, Hoopa was defending Hoenn from Ultra Beast attacks during ORAS' postgame, by ripping out legendaries form alternate universes

The ability Soul Heart raises Magearna's special attack stat every time a pokemon faints. While there is no outright connection, it's not all too far fetched to assume Magearna has some sort of relationship to the Ultimate weapon, at least in the designing stage.

As a result, Mega stones are filled with so much excess infinity energy that it overflows into the pokemon that's holding it, that it forces them to evolve past stages they normally can. I.E. Mega Evolution.

Plumaria's a poison type specialist because she wants to fight/capture the Tapus as a personal "Fuck you" to the culture of Alola, which is partly the reason for why Team Skull is formed. They're made up of kids who couldn't handle it in Alola and failed the island challenge.

Gen 4 remakes will be the last megaverse game because Unova isn't in the current universe. All Unova characters that have appeared in gen 6/7 are from the original universe.

Pokemon will naturally grow into their adult forms over time. Some of these evolutions can take hundreds of years to occur (such as Onix turning into a Steelix) however there are tools and methods to influence said growth and speed up the process.
pokemon that were not known to evolve, or had evolutions in other regions are examples of regional dimorphism. For example Piloswine are more likely grow into Mammoswine in Sinnoh just because the climate influences their growth.
