Can I get some clarity? Is gen 7 only one way compatible with bank? As in I won't be able to store gen 7 pokemon?

Surely it's relatively simple to install some sort of checker in the database based on what game is in the 3ds and what pokemon you are transferring (including mons with changed stats)
I mean if bank only works as a bridge to gen 7 then it immediately becomes pointless. Why introduce a could storage for pokemon if it only works for gen 6

You can store Gen 7 pokemon, but if you transfer pokemon from 6 to 7, you cant transfer back them again to 6, so do it at your own risk.

Luckily GF will add a "national pokedex" app with this update, so you dont have to worry about not having mons for breeding purposes, if you want to start again in XY/ORAS
