This. I was always a Froakie fan from the very beginning, and I like Greninja more when he's doing the chilled out eyes closed face, though I still like him all the same.

Also Rowlet and Decidueye. I know starter wars are still in full force and everybody hates the shit out of each other, but I never participate in them. I just think these guys are adorable, and some of my favorite designs in the series. Honestly, there isn't a single starter I truly hate, and think all of gen 7's are cool in different ways, and probably the most diverse batch of starters yet. But my heart still lies with birb.

This, but especially Tapu Koko. Easily my favorite fairy type and second favorite electric type (after heliolisk [I know, but frilled lizards are cool as fuck]). He's got such a neat design gimmick, too. Would kill to have him in the next Smash Bros.

Except that whether or not you like a specific design is based on personal taste. You can't argue that Garchomp's stats are bad b/c it isn't. You may think it's design is bad, but that's not what overrated means.

Minior is actually underrated. This thing becomes a serial killer after a shell smash. And it's not too hard to get one off thanks to Shields Down, which also gives it a temporary immunity to status.

The game literally gives you one on the second island. The Poliwhirl you can trade a fucking Zubat for has Damp.

Yeah, but it has to be below 50% health to sweep, which makes it crazy vulnerable to priority moves.

If it got Accelrock, then it would be fantastic, but GF went crazy with signature moves this gen.

ChainChomp was a thing because with investment it barely gets the OHKO on Skarmory with Fire Blast.
