Why do people think Shaymin will rotate out? It got a reprint in Japan, it rotating out in the US would skew Worlds in Japan's favor.

Worlds is a Premier Event and therefore limited to the same defined Standard, Expanded or Unlimited formats as outlined in the Play! Rules and Formats handout. That is, the nips have to play by what cards are legal over here for Worlds. If Shaymin rotates out of Standard format for you but not for them, they gotta play by your rules.

So last Thursday I discovered that I have a nearby Pokemon club. There's a fair bit of adults who take the TCG/VGC super serious and a lot more casual players than I expected. I thought it could be fun to chill with them and play the card game, but, I haven't played any of the modern formats In fact, the latest 'version' of Pokemon I played was going through the English translation of Pokemon TCG2 on the gameboy a year or two ago.

I'm looking for recommendations to help teach myself the game so I have at least some knowledge going into it. They have some prebuilt decks to try and use so I'm not too worried just yet about deck building. I know about the simulator, I made sure to read the introduction resources guide, but, is it an effective learning tool to get up to date on the modern format? Are there any good introductions/tutorials on Youtube? Any important guides to read or anything of that sort? Etc.

I know that the old misprints can go for incredible money, not sure about the new ones but it's probably something. To tell you the truth, I'm not even sure how misprints actualy work. Is each misprint unique and one of a kind? Or is there an entire batch of each error? I would look into that first. If it's the latter, you should be able to find the price. If it's the former, your best bet is probably to find an expert online and ask him.

No. This is a pretty casual game. Obviously, some players are very strong, but it's fairly accessible. Also, we kind of have a Rock-Paper-Scissors type meta at the moment, so any decent deck should hae some good matchups.

How many do you have?

If you do start playing, be aware that packs are currency. You may be best off redeeming your codes, but trading them instead of actually opening them.

From last year on October, I was getting .2 for XY, Flashfire (shit sets), then .25 minimum for each new set, all BW sets except Legendary Treasures were .45 at least. Plasma Freeze was .75, and ROS was .81

So IDK what actually happen. I have 224 codes for sale and people offer me like, 40-50, but based on rates it should have been almost 100 dollars
