>Satoshi's classmate Mao tells him that the Pancake Race will soon take place. This is a race where Trainers and Pokémon work together to carry pancakes stacked up on a plate to the goal as fast as they can without the stack collapsing. Satoshi gets really interested and enters the Pancake Race together with Pikachu.

SM14 - The Fruit of Courage: Lilie and Rokon! (Feb 9th)

I think the pancake episode will technically be an episode for her. The sense I'm getting is that her role in the show is to be an "ambassador" of Alola towards Ash and towards the viewer by proxy. She helps show him around, serves as the leader of the group at school, and otherwise serves as a sort of "face of the Alola region."

I do wish she wasn't simply reduced to that, though. She deserves better, especially since she's so fun and energetic.

It's significant because it's mentioned in a book that Solgaleo and Lunala are Ultra Beasts and that they arrived in Alola long ago while looking very different than they do now, because the power fades away after a while of not being in Ultra Space. So the Solgaleo and Lunala you catch in Sun/Moon is essentially a powered down version. Same goes for Necrozma.

Giratina and Bronzong are also mentioned as Pokemon from different dimensions in the lab where Kukui's wife works, leading people to think they can safely retcon Dialga, Palkia, Giratina and Arceus as Ultra Beasts due to all of this, especially with gen 4 being the next to get remakes. Hell, Arceus already looks like Pheromosa.
