In gen 6 and 7, pick Xerneas/Solgaleo or Yveltal/Lunala means only one legendary is used by the protag.

Her team is mostly based on a mix between Red and Blue / Green. She can have either other Fire / Water / Grass Pokemon which dould also fit right in the games or simply give her starters, too. She also has a Lapras because Red has one, and Umbreon because gen II Red has an Espeon. And Clefable because it was the other option as a mascot for the franchise before Pikachu.
