I didnt particularly enjoy the tapus because ithought they were "op" and just as op as the ubs and i didnt want to bandwagon i guess. But ive been using koko with raichu and its pretty alright. Wish it could survive an earthquake though

I hated Charizard, mostly because it was shit, yet still the most popular Pokemon after Pikachu. And it was fat.
Then I grew up and stopped hating it. Megas happened, and it got good, and I actually had fun using it and started liking it. Two Megas allowed me to use it in almost any way I can I wanted, which I found really fun.
BURASUTO happened, and I love it now. My top favorite.

I remembered Absol being really popular when I was a kid, but I never really liked it much. I found the design to be mediocore, and it was pretty, especially before the Physical/Special split.

I hated Incineroar in the leaks but loved it after the official reveal.

I also hated Scyther when I was younger for some reason. Would always call it "overrated", like Charizard. I don't have an issue with either now, minus Charizard's pandering issues, but that's more of a marketing thing anyway.

I started hating it after that happened, actually. As a competitive player, it's fucking annoying to have a bunch of casual karenfags overrating the little shit and using it as a way to prove the VGC14 meta was the best, even though it was one of the worst metas after 16. Heck, Se Jun's team had many super common Pokemon aside from the stupid squirrel, but idiots casually forget about them.

At least one of the good things is that retards started using it in every team despite being a terrible choice, so that meant free wins for me.

I used to hate Trubbish and Garbodor, but they really grew on me over the years. That and the fact that they get hated on so much turned me around. I try to stay neutral on most designs, because no matter what, it's going to be someone's favorite Pokemon.

Back in 2007 when I saw Shellos for the 1st time I thought it was going to evolve into Lapras(I was 11)
I didnt like the design that much but after evolving it,the cry was annoying to me
its wild appeareances didnt help either

however,time passed I didnt care about that pkmn because gen 4 had more pkmn to have fun with
in 2013,its model in 3D felt really natural and I liked it but I didnt use it really much

now with Sun and Moon,I felt nostalgia watching it in Poni Island and I caught it...using it in Refresh really hit me and I went for a East Coast shiny

now I consider it one of the best designs of gen 4,it has surpassed a lot of my favorites and time made me appreciate it slowly but constantly little by little,disliking ,then ignoring it in a second league and in the end,a nice design with charm aging like fine wine

When I first saw it I was livid. It's literally an enlarged head on a regular Persian body. It still kinda annoys me. But it's started to grow on me especially with the artwork that makes it look a little more reasonable.

I used to hate Wobbuffet because Gen 2 came out when I was 11 and I didn't know a damn thing about strategy other than "use really, really powerful moves to hit opponents really, really hard."

So imagine my surprise when I saw a Pokemon that couldn't learn any "real" moves.

Now I freakin' love Wobbuffet because it has those weird moves for a reason. Plus when abilities were introduced in Gen 3, that Latios wasn't running nowhere.

I actually used to love Garchomp when DP was released. Dragon was my favorite type and I loved "tryhard badass/edgy" stuff while most of the dragons filled that criteria for me. Later on, I began to develop a more flexible and analytical taste in design preference and Garchomp later gave a bad taste in my mouth for having too many unnecessary details. Realizing how broken and unfair it's stats were didn't help either. Its still a successful menacing design, but now I feel a mental aura that its a pokemon that I should immensely dislike now.

Back when DP came out I hated magmortar and thought it was stupid looking, but by PT I was mixed on it and by XY it was my favorite fire type period.

Not because of using it or anything, I just gradually warmed up on it's design

I remember seeing discussion that Pachi was specifically the bulkiest Follow Me user that was legal for the tournament, given that things like Clefable or whatever weren't allowed due to the tournament's restrictions. Essentially, in a less-limited tournament, there would be better options, but Pachi was the best option in this specific case.

Gliscor.
Gligar was a big favorite as a kid but Gliscor had a hideous face in the DP sprites. They rectified it later, but it was only until the 3D model when I started liking Gliscor and Gligar again.

Used to dislike Heracross because I liked Pinsir, Scyther, and Scizor's designs more but now it's my favorite out of all of them.
