The side characters are great, but your partner is insufferably pussy the whole way through and almost every boss fight ends with you getting your ass kicked and needing to be saved by someone else. And the perfect apples sequence is one of the most infuriating moments in video games.

Nah I love the games but the stories are hot garbage. Red/Blue was good because there wasn't much plot anyway, the Explorers was feelsy but it just kept dragging on and on and they had a flashback episode every 5 minutes as if you're a 5 year old with ADHD, and Super's plot was anime-levels of retardedness.
