Maybe start so that the Hakamo-o will actually attack you instead of just spamming Work Up. Or just give +2 in every stat.

This. The totem 'mons never attacked me, except for Mimikyu and Lurantis. Gumshoos, Vikavolt, Salazzle, Wishiwashi, and Kommo-o never once attacked me.

It's the final totem so just go all out. Skip the first 2 unnecessary battles with the preevolutions, integrate them into the totem battle. First you battle a buffed Totem Jangmo-o, followed by Totem Hakomo-o and finally Totem Kommo-o.

It's not native to the area, but it does get Follow Me while resisting Fairy so have Hakomo-o summon Magmar early on to tank Moonblasts directed at the totem (the area has open skies, so making it perma Sunny Day works too so Primarina can't prey on both Kommo-o and Magmar. Kommo-o learns Flamethrower too so that's another buffed move against those who chose Decidueye).

Alternatively, have something that can set up screens or heal the totem. Set the Totem to be more likely to use Protect when a super effective attack is incoming.

First teammate is a level 45 Scizor that has Technician, Bullet Punch, Iron Head, Bug Bite, and Aerial Ace.

Second teammate is a Comfey that has Triage, Floral Healing, Synthesis, and Play Rough.

Improve the AI so that Kommo-o will use Protect to its advantage. If you're using a Fairy, it Protects on the first turn to get Scizor in there safely. Scizor uses Bullet Punch and Iron Head aggressively to kill the Fairies, and Kommo-o uses Flash Cannon.

The AI should be improved in general. No more spamming random attacks. No more teammates doing their own thing. Kommo-o should be using Protect to stop itself from taking a finishing hit while its teammate takes out your mon. Make the totem fight punish the player for ignoring the teammates.
