I remember seeing something saying HP rock is better on lilligant since it covers up more of her weaknesses. I remember in gen 5 I tried breeding for a lilligant with HP fire, and I went through so many shiny lilligants that I ended up hatching a shiny one that had a bold nature, own tempo, but it had a spread that gave her HP Poison, which was fucking useless back in gen 5, but with fairy type being a thing since, I can see HP poison being somewhat useful since it can hit most fairies pretty hard after a Qdance, also might keep own tempo on it when I can transfer it over to destroy shit with petal dance with little risk of repercussion. The one that I decided to go with because it took so long that I gave up had HP rock so I stuck with that, which a bit over a half a decade later (BW was 2009 or 2010 iirc).

The one I actually used is named Lilly and the shiny that I could actually make some use of in the current state of the game is named Juniper

I forgot to mention that I wasn't even using the masuda method, this was just standard ass breeding, and I ended up getting a shiny after less attempts than the one time I actually tried the MM for a bagon

HP Poison's only advantage over HP Fire is that it hits Grass/Fairy types for 4x damage instead of 2x. Pretty useless against pure Fairy though; Energy Ball does the same amount

Or since they apparently buffed Energy Ball in Gen 6 2x effective HP Poison actually does less to Fairies than Energy Ball. How did I go a whole generation without noticing that?

Who fucking knows? It's pretty useless thanks to its movepool and that upsets me.

HP Fire gets a boost from sun so I prefer that. Give it one grass STAB, HP Fire, Healing Wish, and filler and slap it on the already struggling in OU Sun team archetype. Probably the best way to use her in OU imo.

Still love her though.

HP Rock hits a lot of Grass' weaknesses, but is stopped by Steel. Best coverage.

HP Fire also works well, especially with sun support, but is stopped by Dragon and Fire.

HP Dark generally hits a lot neutrally, so you could consider just breeding for 5 IV.

Alternatively, you could try Sleep Powder + Dream Eater with a Z-Psychninium. I want to try that on my shiny Lilligant with HP Electric, but it's still stuck in gen 6.
