Wanted to fit Decidueye into a mono-ghost, even got a shiny drifloon. First shiny i've found in like ten years So Im pretty happy with this run.

Just started my first post-completion run in Moon. I'm not sure what I want to do. Feels like there are very few pokémon i want to use. So far I've ditched my starter for the event Munchlax, and other than that I'm not really sure what themes I want to play with. I might wonder trade one pokemon per trial and use whatever shitmon pops out the other side, but that would be a problem if I got a level 50 on the third island or w/e. Similarly, a 5 gyarados run doesn't seem fun.

Any ideas?

But gastrodon is a special attacker you moron, and Bronzong is better to learn it by sheer coverage (and yes, Gastrodon is West)

Pfft. Gastrodon is an infuriatingly-effective bulky motherfucker that can use special attacks, but is far better at walling the fuck out of things through a combination of Curse and Recover.

Using Gastrodon with a -Speed Nature and both Special and Physical attacks is beast.

Right. Still trying to figure out an optimal combo. Literally just beat the E4 two days ago so I've been trying to breed a squad to climb up in Battle Tree Singles

These are the two squads I've been experimenting with:
