The game coding literally says that the UB's are half legends, somewhat like the Tapus. They all share the green wallpaper in the Pokedex and have different entry text from Rotom unlike all the other Pokemon. So in a way we finally did get a Poison Legendary ITT

UB's come from the Ultra Dimension where there are presumably multiple kinds of each. They are just pokemon from a different dimension. Period. I guess they're naturally more powerful than regular pokemon hence ULTRA dimension.

Yes. Legendary just means rare, which is why pokemon like the legendary birds, mew, and darkrai are legendary, d3spite all three just being too illusive for thoughrough scientific studies to have been done. Hell, I'm pretty sure "legendary" isn't a thing in Japan, or at least not how it is here: if I'm remembering things right, legendary pokemon are rare pokemon who are the subjects of local veneration like moltres, mythic pokemon are inherently supernatural and god-like beings like palkia, and illusory pokemon are extremely rare but not directly the subject of veneration, like celebi. So I guess ultra beasts are illusory or legendary, depending on whether or not you deem their ancient battles with the tapus and grounds for being legends themselves.

Your headcannon is shit because there is no proof that Nihilego is "that common" in Ultra Space. We only saw a single hallway's worth of what is implied to be an entire different dimension. That hallway could have been the one and only Nihilego valley in the entirety of Ultra Space- or they could be the Ratattas of Ultra Space. There are absolutely no hints as to which is the case and assuming either way is the same as guessing.

tl;dr get the fuck over yourself and accept that the UBs are legendaries.
