I don't have a CFW question but a question about getting sound has started.
So I believed I did everything right. I put the files on the root of my SD card. And when I go into 3ds sound and play the file that is in the SD dictonary and I get an error and the system restarts.

If you used Decrypt9 right and made a NAND backup bricks should be no issue.Make sure to keep that backup somewhere.I'm pretty sure updates cannot affect CFW since updating to the newest version is part of finishing up A9LH installation.

Sort of a dumb question, but Google isn't helping:
I used to have ReiNand installed on my n3ds until I recently switched to having Luma;
I followed the guides for bringing my stuff from emunand into sysnand and everything works fine, but now my sd is kinda clogged from all the shit I had before.
I wanted to delete the things I don't need anymore, but I'm afraid I'll remove something essential and fuck up everything.
Is there a list of files that should always be on the sd after installing Luma and that I should not remove?

Ok so how do I install free games and get the Freeshop? I did everything already. Have the LUMA, FBI, CIAngel and stuff. I tried download Pokemon Moon from CIAngel which took hours but in the end it said "The CIA could not be installed" or something like that. Please help???? I dont believe there is a way to recover if you mess up anywhere during the guide. However dont worry. Bricks are rare, and only happen because of incompetence. Oh that? If you mess up during the beginning of the process you can usually go back a step or two to fix the issue. If you want to call it quits halfway through then yeah, just clear all the hack files on your SD card and youre back to normal. HOWEVER after you get through the 2.1.0 CTR transfer, there is no return until you complete the hack. Just dont mess up senpai. Dont be that idiot that forgot step 1 and didnt make a file9 folder in the root of their SD card

Hourglass9 is a program downloaded at the end of the hack along with luma. Basically you turn on your 3ds while holding down a certain button and you have access to hourglass which can back up your NAND and save your DS from a brick. That is only at the end and protects from FUTURE bricks. Oh and you should save copies of your NAND to your computer for safe keeping when it comes to that step.

Oh thats easy. Sometimes you have to load it a few times for it to work. Put a game cartridge in your 3ds before you launch safehax, that has been the fix for many people. Dont get spooked by black screens, they happen from time to time

Select the 2.1.0 ctrtransfer image when prompted by pressing (A)
If you do not already have a NAND backup, backup SysNAND to NANDmin.bin when prompted by pressing (A)

The NAND backup happens much sooner but your right about having to actually get to Hourglass9 to use it.I think.

Why is that? Isn't just installing the FBI directly through Homebrew better? Unless you;re trying to hide from Nintendo or something it seems useless.

The bottom screen glitched when I had to go to the website. I pressed select which shut off my 3DS. I turned it on and now I'm on the Luma3DS.

It's telling me to select "hs.app" to inject now but all i have available is the option to select what i had to inject a few steps prior ("FBI_v2.4_N3DS_USA_injectable.app). I can't select anything else via the arrow keys.

In any case if you over-write it without creating a dump to restore it, you can't get it back but it's not a big deal. You just have to deal with your H&S app not working as intended.

After installing a9lh, when trying to access pokemon bank I get error code 006-1608. Nintendo's site says it's unable to find that error code. Any help? Tried to repair but got 007-6106 which just says unable to access eshop.

Try pressing select on the black screen and wait 10 seconds. If it doesn't auto turn off, turn it off and then try holding select when Turing on the 3ds. Something similar happened to my n3ds where the bottom screen was glitched and the top part showed the Internet browser. Yes. If you don't want to install cfw, don't update immediately when 11.3 hits. Wait for hax to update to 11.3, and download/install updated hax before you update to 11.3.

When I try to attempt to install safehax, it starts to attempt some files then there appear some text boxes I can't read since they appear and leave too fast and I get stuck on a black screen. What have I done wrong? Note that safehax is Not installed and I still can use my o3ds normally.
