My dumb ass can make it to the low 1700s with shitmons like Vaporeon and Honchkrow and I hadn't played regularly since before BW2 were released.

Get good

Objectively all you have to do is fuck around and do 100 or more random matches and you'll at 1500 or higher in a heartbeat. There is really no complicated play in this desu, even a literal caveman could reach 1700.
