No. It's not. Because Sharpedo actually has good options for both its STABs while Gyarados doesn't. And in place of STABs Gyarados has good coverage moves while Sharpedo has fucking Scary Face and Slash. Literally all they did was take Sharpedo's default last four level up moves and slap them on; they didn't put any extra thought into it at all and it's fucking gen 1 tier of laziness. The same thing applies for the rest of his Pokemon. Just look at how terrible Mightyena's moveset is.

Depends on what you're after. If you want better looking games with good gameplay, Gen 6 will fall flat on its face. The one thing Gen 6 has over SM is catching all the Pokemon. With no SOS bullshit and DexNav, it's pretty enjoyable to complete the Pokedex. Other than that, SM does everything better.

I own both SM & ORAS.

I want to try and complete my Pokedex (pre-Gen 7 of course) so that I can then transfer everything into SM.

Am I right in saying that ORAS is the game to play to try and accomplish this? I love Hoenn. I know the world better. Breeding is much easier thanks to based Route 117. XP is faster with Blissey Bases,

However, I like SM's graphics and character customization. Don't know much of what there is to do post-game, though. I just beat the E4.
