you could ask this question for every single thing from a pokemon game to another
EV Training without battles has been made into the Isle Evelup and the EV hexagon has been made part of the stat screen.

Haha I don't really know
>>31198090
I'm with you anon, I actually couldn't figure it out
>>31198102
people used Super Training to
1- Quickly adjust a few reimaining, it's easy and doesn't need you to go find an encounter
2 - see the pokemon/eggs in your team
3 - reset bags
>>31198090
>>31198245
Also ev train your when you start the story over again without leveling
>>31198102
Most people just used it to check how the EV spread was while EV training in the overworld without getting into menus and whatever. The exception was reset bags, which were the best way of resetting the EVs.
>>31196153
Because it sucked. It was aweful.
more importantly, why was THIS removed?
>>31198090
I'm glad I'm not the only one that was confused at first.
Because chaining is faster
>>31198375
And hordes is faster than chaining. Checkmate.
>>31198375
is it really faster?

sos chaining is autistic

>>31198090
can we get a drawfag on this?
>using super training instead of horde battles
>>31196153
Battling hordes with pokerus and power items was a faster method.
>>31198470
IVs are irrelevant now because of hyper training
>>31198389
is it really?
5 horde battles against a chain of 7. Both can have some shitty RNG working against you (Help not arriving/wrong horde).
And you have to navigate menues and use sweet scent between hordes.
So, unless someone timed it, I think they are pretty much even. Now getting the power items in SM to begin chaining efficiently is a different problem
>>31198470
pretty sure we are only talking about EV training here, not shiny.
>>guess how many ivs it has
4 if the chain is 30+
>>31196153
Yeah it's stupid they removed it, the pelago shit is way too slow.
Super training is great for when you want crisp level 1 pokemon to be ev trained. I have a bunch of these ready for when i begin a new game, that way i can enjoy the game without having to worry about bad evs for post game battle facilities.
i just added a fully ev trained level 1 trapinch to my AS btw, now i just need to level it
>>31198538
I second this.
>>31198323
Why do you care? It was pointless.
>>31196153
Because GF hates forward progression.
What many people didn't know is how great this was for precise EV training allowing you to gain anything from I think 1 to 12 EVs fairly quickly.
Instead we have the pelago which is incredibly imprecise and slow in comparison.
>>31198994
>super training gives +4/+8/+12 EVs. Bags give +1/+4/+12.
>pelago gives +4 per session.
Don't know what you mean by "incredibly imprecise". pretty sure most people go for multiples of 4 anyway.
Also, sure it's slow. But super training got boring and repetitive really quickly. I rather be able to dump up to 18 mons in the isle, put some beans in the cart and go to bed while those little fuckers train.
Only thing i really loved super training for was getting evo stones pretty early and easily.
Pelago isle can fuck you over quite a bit with evo stones.
>>31199347
>less options to choose from means more precision!
You don't know what precise means do you. Also the ones are useful to round off a stat properly and with just multiples of 4 that's nigh impossible using multiples of 4. For example you can't get 10, 30, 50 or 70 or even 150 in a single stat.
And you would be surprised at how many sets use things like that.
> But super training got boring and repetitive really quickly.
Which is why you didn't even have to play it, having it on the Super training screen would give you bags over time.
Basically you can gain bags while breeding new mon.
>>31199634
>For example you can't get 10, 30, 50 or 70 or even 150 in a single stat.
>And you would be surprised at how many sets use things like that.
I guess Bulbapedia has to update its shit then, cause according to this EV/4 gets rounded down before anything else.
Or all those people are wasting EVs.
>>31198981
>being able to find rare, 31 IV, hidden ability, and/or egg move pokemon easily in the wild
>pointless
>>31198819
>hyper training
How hard would it be to mod supertraining back into SM?
>>31199894
just inject it faggot
>>31199894
Far too much work for anyone to bother.
>>31199868
And people complain the games are too easy now.
>but you see having a 140 BP move plus HA is not casual
>>31198470
I hope you're aware the time you use to meet and "one shot the bastard" is the same as calling for help and killing it".
It's literally just fucking meeting and killing Pokemon, i don't know why you autists seem to forget that.
>>31198090
>>31196153
because it got better.
>>31198090
>there are now kids young enough to not know vigoroth
You make me feel old
>>31199634
>i have no idea what im talking about
Thats not how evs work m8. 4 points=1 stat meaning anything that isnt a multiple of 4 just gets wasted. And no, literally NO ONE uses 10, 30, 70, 150 evs in a stat
>>31198538
