What you do is:
>Put the ditto with everstone to daycare, because everstone will make the offsprings the same nature as the holder

Think of breeding as a way for people to help each other out. You came here asking good questions, wanting to do one of the toughest things in the game. Take shortcuts where you can to get you to the final step (which is breeding two perfect parents while praying to RNGJesus).

There are many people here who have breeding rejects of Mimikyu, I'm sure of both genders (myself included). Shiny breeding is like a 1/4000 chance without any modifiers. I don't know the math, but having a shiny charm (complete the Pokedex, its only 300), and a parent from a different region at least halves this probability. And when your shiny inevitably hatches, it only has a 1/6 chance to be 5IV perfect (Mimikyu doesn't use the special attack stat).

So if you'd like a breeding reject, feel free to ask. As someone who has shiny bred a lot, I wouldn't recommend it as your very first breeding project, especially without having every possible prerequisite

You'll need a 6iv foreign ditto though. It'll take much MUCH longer to get a perfect mimikyu.
You can get one from the countless giveaway threads that have been happening or go into the /hex/ general and ask for one you'll have to make the ditto using pkhex there are tutorials online

Also, this OP. Look up any gen 6 breeding guide. It's all the same, except males can pass down the pokeball they are in when breeding with a ditto now.

Basically, the quickest/easiest in-game way is pretty simple.
Get a 6IV japanese ditto from one of the many giveaways that happen here. There've been like 3 in the past couple days. Should be more to come. To increase the chance of a bred pokemon being shiny, the two parent pokemon must be of different regions. That's why its a jap ditto you want, unless you are japanese somehow.
You're going to want the other parent to be a Mimikyu obviously. Each parent should be holding one of two items: Destiny Knot to pass down 5 out of 6 IVs. Everstone to pass down nature. This is most important when both parents have 5/6 IVs. You want a 31 for each stat except special attack. That stat does not matter for Mimikyu.
Also, Shiny charm will greatly improve your chances. A dex of 300 is pretty easy, you can do it in a day or two.
But those are the basics of shiny breeding. Get charm. Get different regional parents with a desiny knot and everstone. Let them have a go at it over and over until your hatched pokemon is a different color.

Alright cool. It's not in a love ball though. What you'll need to do is breed to get a male mimikyu and then catch a female in the love ball. Breed the two and then you that one to breed with the ditto.

To make life easier, hatch at least20 eggs and then go talk to the ace trainer near the battle tree. He'll let you see the ivs of a pokemon on the pc.
Again, go to the /hex/ inject general and read about how to go about making and asking for a 6 iv foreign ditto.

I have a perfect male mimikyu and a pentaperfect female, missing special attack. Both are jolly. You wouldn't need a ditto if you use these two from me. I'm willing to trade them, I have my mimikyu already. I could also spare an everstone and a destiny knot.

Only potential problem is I don't care for poleballs, so they're both in quick balls.

Ideally, both the foreign parent and local parent have perfect stats. But yes, that's the correct map. You want to get the most optimal conditions for your offspring. Even completing your dex to get the shiny charm will save you a ton of grief.

Hatched 3000 eggs in XY, no shinies. I'm probably less than half of that now and I've produced 5. Unlocking the shiny charm makes a huge diff, especially when stacking with a foreign parent.

Getting a perfect foreign parent is a bit tricky. You'd have to either know someone from these threads who can help, or play GTS odds and hope that the posted Mimikyus are good.

two options:

one, depending on how close you are to completing the pokedex, id suggest doing that first. the shiny charm you get as a reward halves the shiny chance from 1/4k to 1/2k

whether you do that or not, the rest is the same. try and find a perfect IV ditto. if you dont have one, just breed two mimikyus together. if you've completed the main game, you can unlock the judge feature in your PC after hatching 20 eggs. from there, it's trial and error. you hatch until you get a mimikyu with ONE good IV, then replace that one with one of the parents. boom, there's now a chance you might pass that perfect IV. eventually, slap a destiny knot on a mimikyu with good IV's (say, 3 perfect) for a relatively good chance on passing them. this process will keep getting quicker until you have two (ideally) perfect IV mimikyus breeding. also, once you get a mimikyu with the nature you want, put an everstone on it. then, make that pokemon one of the PARENTS, so it can pass down its nature without fail. the same thing follows here: keep swapping out the mon with the everstone as more hatch with superior IV's


once you break that all down into habit, the rest is just hatching until you pull a shiny. hopefully you dont get a shiny before the IVs get high enough
