Even if I didn't want anything else on the system and I wasn't "forced" to buy it because Pokemon kept releasing on 3DS, I'd still buy it because fuck Pokemon on the 3DS. I want to actually see what I'm looking at for once.

They won't. Those are a stylistic choice they could afford to make for a fighting game to make it stand out, but it's a devisive one. Some Pokemon look alright, but others don't, and for 800 monsters, it would be a ridiculous undertaking considering they already went to such extreme lengths to make semi-future proof models on the 3DS and crippled their productivity otherwise.

I'm also not excited at the idea of them finally getting on a console, and finally having specs good enough that they can't fuck over their own games with their optimization incompetence, just to have them go and blow beyond what the new system can reliably output as well.
