Lyra's not too bad. Could be better, but not as bad as /vp/ says her to be. Manga Crys is pretty alright too.

I think making Pokemon games more linear was a good design choice in the grand scheme of things, and the worst part about the games is when it becomes a RNG grindfest as you spend over an hour looking for a Pokemon with a 1% appearance rate.

I also think that great balls and ultra balls are overrated as fuck, considering lowering a pokemons hp down into/near the red and putting them to sleep is usually more than enough to capture them with a poke ball. Also i think people that say they have no pokemon that can inflict sleep are either lying or retarded, considering that if you don't put a pokemon to sleep within 2-3 turns they'll call for backup and make the entire battle a S.O.S fuckfest.

Also i wouldn't be surprised in the slightest if the devs were originally going to make Hau have an actual mental condition but decided against it because wrecking someone with a mental condition throughout the entire game wouldn't go over well with PR.

I actually agree. It seems like the more linear Pokemon games have better stories (BW and SM)

Also i think that Lillie is extremely awkward and the part where she tried telling Nebby to use splash before talking to herself about how she's trying to sound like you made me fucking cringe when i read it. I disliked Lillie's character greatly. Her character was a nuisence, her development was gutless since nothing came of it, and she only acted in a lazy method by the devs to remove her and drum up hype for something else.

I think Platinum and HGSS was the absolute peak of the Pokemon game franchise, and everything has been going downhill ever since. Even the side games are terrible now. The decline in quality has nothing to do with timetables or hardware limits.

TPCi and GameFreak are just fucking lazy, because they know they're guaranteed to make money on brand recognition alone.

XYZ was easily the worst season of the anime. The tryhard, edgy tone, dumb shit like Ash-Greninja, Alain's forced rivalry with Ash and Lysandre's nonsensical plot from the games just amounted to a season that attracted a bunch of narutard levels of faggotry to the fandom.

I think that more water in regions is a good thing especially in games with faster Surf speed. I don't really understand the issue with water, it gives you a lot of places to explore that you couldn't access before and generally helps Pokemon's adventurous vibe.

I will never understand why people don't like water routes. Distribution I understand but Repels exist and acting like encounter rates weren't annoying before is stupid.

I genuinely love Goodra and Chesnaught. I think Chesnaught is a cooler starter than Greninja. I like Dragonite, Goodra, and other goofy dragons more than the 'cool' 'edgy' dragons.
