Soundhax doesn't really look as intense as other hacks. It's actually kind of limited as a result, or maybe I don't know what the fuck I'm doing, because I can't get it to install any of the shit like FBI that lets you play legit 3ds games for free.

It's kind of like if you used foobar to open an mp3, but the mp3 was actually a python file that opened some other some crazy hacker firmware .exe that's sitting on your desktop. i.e. it's not installed in your System Files, it's not part of the registry.. it's just sort of there, and when you close the .exe, the 'hack' is closed as well.

SOS battles aren't fun. Chaining egg moves isn't fun. Lottery breeding for IVs isn't fun. EV grinding isn't fun.

This is all tedious shit. What's actually fun are the battles, characters, catching new Pokemon, etc. It's sucked a lot of fun out of the game the last several gens where e.g. early in the game I was excited to catch Alolan Grimer, but caught one with a shit nature. Then had to keep running around in the same patch of grass until I got one with a not shit nature. Then raised that thing but realizing the whole time it's going to have awful IVs.

Your answer is you want me to go spend hours breeding a better Muk. Mine is to spend 2 minutes editing a couple strings of data on the one I already did spend hours with.

because injecting makes it not a hassle. Hence I actually have fun playing pokemon for once instead of wondering how the hell I got into this damn series in the first place with all the tedious grinding shit. It's not hard, it's just boring.

Keep in mind that I wait until I complete the game to start injecting because at that point grinding is all you're doing. These games are one of the most guilty out of all them by having no proper way to train pokemon (no trainer rematches, o-powers, or blissey secret basses) other than wild pokemon and the elite four AKA: gen 1

I can't use FBI because I can't downgrade my firmware on 11.2 without some complex DSiWare downgrade I don't have the DSiWare for.

I actually enjoy breeding.

Yeah, this is correct, but why would you need attack IVs on a special pokemon? Sometimes it's not even needed. The times it is, though, you do have to lottery through and can be a hassle, but never took me more than half an hour of trial and error.
