Can Soundhax be used on 11.1 or should I update? I kind of don't want to incase a real downgrade becomes available.

Soundhax can be used on any version. The only difference is the otherapp.bin you download, but the page makes you input your version number anyway. Stay on 11.1 and just use ctr-httpwn to access online services, updating NEVER serves to benefit you.

Do you have any of these games: Fieldrunners, Legends of Exidia, Guitar Rock Tour, The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords (Anniversary Edition)? If so you can downgrade from 11.1 with soundhax. If you don't, then you probably won't lose anything from updating to 11.2, but you also won't gain anything besides not having to use ctr-httpwn to go online, which takes maybe 2 minutes every time you start your 3DS.
