If we're going back to Kanto I'd really like to see it reworked from the ground up. Try to make places look more like they do in the anime, or in the location previews from FRLG. Give them new identities.

Imagine if they turned Celadon into Pokémon Las Vegas. Hotels, neon light everywhere, and casinos albeit with non-gambling minigames, maybe with more NPC activity at night.

Making Kanto have more references to Tokyo sounds great. I'd definitely enjoy a Tokyo Skytree expy in Saffron, and a calm park in the middle of Celadon.

I'd be down for this. Just expand the region, and give it more places to explore. This time, maybe, you could go off the beaten path, braving exponentially stronger Pokemon, difficult terrain and what have you, to find a place no one else has discovered, or a place no one has been to in ages.
