is this a good item or is it just a meme?
>>31149321
I mean, it's good for what it does
real men use focus band
>>31149321
On a fast hazard setter like Azelf, spikes Protean Greninja or revenge killers like reversal Dugtrio it's a good item
>>31149332
Shut up Verlisify
>>31149321
If Stealth Rock weren't a thing it'd be busted.
If someone already has the life orb yet they have a wide move pool and won't benefit from focus sash it's good
>>31149321
It is the best item for fast and frail as fuck sweepers. An example would be Speed Boost Blaziken with Protect, Weavile and Pheromosa.
>>31149321
Yes it is. It allows especially frail pokemon to do at least two things before they go down. The best user I've seen with it is Galvantula with sticky web, thunder and thunder wave, letting you get off a sticky web guaranteed.
A nightmare on Battle Spot is what it is. Entry hazards see no use there, so there's high possibility of anything holding Focus Sash. Everytime you knock something out from full HP you just have to pray the HP doesn't suddenly stop lowering at 1HP. Most common users are Garchomp, since everybody brings an Ice move these days to OHKO Garchomp and Breloom, which has Spore shenanigans when it isn't OHKO'ed. Both also tend to carry Rock Tomb which let them damage and outspeed their opponent the next turn, usually for a 2HKO.
>>31151160
don't forget le ebin Mach punch Breloom
>>31151430
I'm glad Tapu Fini exists. 3 things that always stood as roadblocks in my Battle Spot teambuilding: Breloom Spore, Crocune Rest and Charizard-X Outrage/Flare Blitz combo and Misty Terrian neuters all of them nicely.
>>31149446
Why does /vp/ have such a hard-on for this guy
>>31152076
Nobody has a hard on for totodile
>>31152126
Good then
>>31152076
be's basically the "mementic lord" Leafyishere, but instead based around pokemon.
He bitches and whines whenever he is triggered and makes a video about it (for muh youtubez mone!)
He strongly disagrees with hacking but yet his autism peaked when he spent money on third-party tools just for SOS Chaining dittos.
Not to mention, he's a furry
>>31149321
Mostly for 1 turn suicide attackers where their attack power matters on how much HP they have left.
>>31149688
I don't think Kicken Chicken can learn Weavile and Pheromosa.
>>31149321
I used it on haxorus to set up a DD, it's good and like >>31149457 said, without Hidden Gravel it would be pretty op. Which makes me think: if the opponent uses knock off and it's a one-shot but I have sash, will the effect activate or will the mon just die?
>>31152076
Cheaters tend to get butthurt when they're called out on their cheating
love it
In Battle Spot singles it's good. In other formats not so much.

Hi Verlisify
It's awesome with Ribombee
One Quiver Dance, and you're guaranteed to knock out 1 to 2 Pokémon.
Can easily one shot anything with Moonblast after a quiver dance.
Priority moves and other sash users are what stops it in its tracks tho, but not after it's done some damage.
>>31153369
The pokémon survives.
>>31153668
I like Ribombee but I feel like bulkier things like Muk and others take the boosted neutral Moonblast far too well. Base 95 SpA is a bitch to work with, even if you run it Modest.
I just want my fire moth back man, burning things alive after a QD with that is so much fun
>>31149688
Sash Pheromosa is a meme
>>31153742
Is there any specific important 1HKO that LO Pheromosa gets and FS Phero can't?
>>31149321
Think of it this way: a sashed pokemon can't be OHKOed. I like it on leads because they don't have to worry about entry hazards, and it gaurentees them a turn to set up.
>>31153038
moderate kek
heres a (you)
>>31154190
>in a vacuum, where sneaky pebbles aren't a thing
It's a good item (for dedicated leads that need to survive the first turn to do their job more than anything else) AND a meme (when slapped on random mons by low level shitters and potentially getting a lucky game progression where it can actually matter).
>>31151160
I love bringing wooly crab on battlespot, but it's damn near mandatory to sash him. Still, watching this goof smash at least one or sometimes 2 opponents is the best
>>31153756
FS Phero can't 1HKO Koko and Lele (on lele's case they mostly run scarf so it doesn't really matter
FS Pheromosa :
252+ Atk Pheromosa Poison Jab vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Tapu Koko: 228-270 (80.8 - 95.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252+ Atk Pheromosa Poison Jab vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Tapu Lele: 252-298 (89.6 - 106%) -- 37.5% chance to OHKO
LO Phero :
252+ Atk Life Orb Pheromosa Poison Jab vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Tapu Koko: 296-351 (104.9 - 124.4%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252+ Atk Life Orb Pheromosa Poison Jab vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Tapu Lele: 328-387 (116.7 - 137.7%) -- guaranteed OHKO
>>31149321
My Mienshao loves it.
>>31153374
Yeah I remember how much we loved him before his cheating assblast
>>31149321
It's great on a Moody Smeargle with Spore, Protect, and Baton Pass.
I usually set it on my lead set up mon. Good item, gives you a chance to set up and possibly sweep. Its also a meme though.
>>31156154
I actually have a shiny Mienshao that I caught at Dragonspiral tower. However, it is Rash nature.

>>31149321
I know Pheromosa enjoys the hell out of a focus sash especially when trying to set up quiver dance.
