I love Piplup but I don't particularly like Prinplup or Empoleon. I feel that way about a lot of starters, actually. I love the base form but they evolve into something else and then they're not cute anymore or discarded the things I originally like about them in the first place (see Fennekin, Tepig, Litten, Chespin, Squirtle etc.)

I didn't want to choose any of the starters because I hate all the final ones, but I fell in love with Litten. Torracat was alright too but I got mad when it accidentally evolved. If the dark STAB and z-move hadn't come in handy it wouldn't have stayed on my team.

It still fucking hurts. Fuck Rhyperior. One of my favorite Gen 1 mons paired with Nidoking. I honestly did hope that it would get a third evolution or a pre-evo some day. What we ended up with completely ruined any appeal Rhydon had by just adding random shit and completely changing the color scheme. Also the holes in it's hands and it's "claws" look fucking retarded.
