Speaking of the actual image, the problem with the male version is that it actually has a masculine body, while Primarina's body in itself isn't what's particularly feminine about it. Maybe if it now had a chest bulge then sure.

The male should be a heavy metal "hair metal" singer, and the female remain as Primarina.
A more neutral name like Primarine, Glamarine or Primourine would be better.

Much like the previous Gen, the typing would also fit with each final evolution line. This strong man elephant seal would be Water/Fighter, and it'd be strong against Incineroar, but ineffective against Decidueye.
