So apparently to get a cosmog, I need to go back to the Altar of the Moone and go through the portal, but when i try to it says "There is a strange distortion in the air... but you don't seem to be able to traverse it now."
Anybody know why? All i need is Cosmog and Cosmoem to finish the dex.

In sun you go at night with solgaleo

Did you have Sogaleo or Lunala with you? I think they're necessary to hop the portal and summon Cosmog.

I did it because I realized I've picked the blue version on accident every gen and wanted to keep going

have you done the UB sidequest? I had to do that before it worked, not sure if its a prerequisite but it wouldnt hurt to try
