It's a good typing that plays into the whole "looks like a plant, but is really an animal" thing crinoids have, but I would want it to have a typing that takes advantage of it's ability to travel. Water/flying could be neat as a play on the name.
Personally I like the idea of a water/dark type. All of those fronds are for filter feeding, but if you made the pokemon version a bit bigger those fronds could become arms to sweep up smaller pokemon into it's maw. Would make a nice duo with toxipex in theming.
