good morning and thank you friends, I no longer own a pc or else I'd use soundhax and do this myself.

dumb question but I'm not sure where else to post this and it doesn't need it's own thread

I'm trying to edit my save via pkhex and jksm and everything works up to the point where I try and export the save back to the SD card and pkhex crashes and gives the message "the media is write protected"

I try and change the folder properties and it keeps going back to read only, I double checked the physical lock on the SD card adapter and it's in the unlock position.

am I just fucked? is there anyway to fix this?

It should look like this if you are trying to run a physical cart copy. Digital eshop copy try to change the region to ---. Also check your code is renamed and placed in the correct folder location.

Could somebody quickly whip up a QR of this for me please? This is the only version of PKhex I can get working on my mac and for some reason it gives me smaller/less detailed QR codes which don't even scan as the right pokes.

My friend's circle pad broke by running around hatching eggs all day. He's devastated, so I did a bit of reading and found you can hack eggs instantly with Sumohax. I picked up a copy of the game (first one since Yellow!) and showed him I could hatch eggs instantly for him and that he didn't have to worry. He freaked out at me and told me that Nintendo and competitive events would be able to tell that the egg was 'hacked'. Is this true or is he being overly paranoid?

Check your file extensions for the renamed code. Also take a screenshot of the folder pathway as well as the code itself on your computer.

Finally, try to first run the game in HANS Without the patched code by selecting Code->SD OFF. This is to test that the region and language settings are correct for your version. If it doesn't run even with patched code OFF, play around with the region settings until you find one that works for you.

If you didn't grab the 4 DSIgames to downgrade, you might as well give up or hardmod. Again, injecting mon doesn't require downgrade or cfw. If you want to pirate free games, you missed the boat. :^)

I was one of those retards who updated their 3DS to 11.x without realising that to install CFW, I would need to downgrade my firmware to 9.2 with the use of one those 4 DSi games, but since they're now taken off the store I can't buy them anymore.

Thankfully Fastfax is going to be coming out soon and will allow me to run legit cias on my 3DS, which while not what I ultimately wanted, will still allow to to play shit with legit cia's like Dragon Ball Z - Extreme Butoden.

Maybe that sighax can live up to the hype and making the need to downgrade to 9.2 redundant.

If you are on 9.9, how are you even running the game? Pokemon SM requires ver 11.0 and up to even run. By the way for 9.9, I'd recommend you read https://3ds.guide/, follow the guide to downgrade and install cfw, and pirate some games.

Running HANS without any code patching, no matter what region settings I pick (---, AUS or EUR for an Australian 3DS), it just exits to homebrew menu then when I try again it freezes before it even asks me for the configuration settings.

Did you fuck around with the hans folder inside /3ds/ ? It should only have the 3dsx, smdh and xml files, along with a folder called titles. The patched code is in a separate hans folder on the sd root.

im having trouble with pkhex, i open my save, make edits to the pokemon i want, making all the ivs 31, but when i switch pokemon in pkhex, it resets the changes. what am i doing wrong? example, i change my tapu koko to timid nature and its ivs to 31 and when i switch to another pokemon tapu koko resets back to normal

I understand why you get frustrated when people don't do this stuff for themselves, but here's how I see it:

The anons requesting for Injections are doing so because they do not want to inject themselves (either they don't want to mess with their 3DS, or they don't really need to be Injectors).

Let's say that they, for some reason, learn to inject for themselves. This does not guarantee they will be injectors on these types of threads in the future.

Besides, when they patch soundhax, there's still gonna be a lot of people requesting for injections anyway (be it because they got the handheld after they patched soundhax or because they didn't want to use it in the first place), so there's literally no reason to bitch at these people for asking for help.
