So if you don't care about incubators, there is zero reason to buy the packs.

The argument is that you should be trying to hatch as many eggs as you can as efficiently as possible in terms of incubator charges/time. Tying up your unlimited on a 10km egg and using paid incubators on 2km and 5km eggs is a waste of paid incubator charges because 2km and 5km is nothing for walking but 10km takes a while.

The utility of a paid incubator is how many parallel km per charge you get out of it, not number of eggs. You are guaranteed 3 eggs (or 1 for the event ones), so the only variable you can optimise is distance. If you only have a free incubator, fine, do whatever. But if you are a shill buying paid incubators, or looking to get some extra eggs with your free paid incubators, you should be using them on 10kms so that your free incubator can keep churning out 2kms and 5kms.

I referred to big cities specifically because they tend to have high level players with equally high CP pokemon, but of course it won't matter if it's a level 3 gym. Only in those steady/not easily accessible level 7-9 gyms where its beneficial to have the highest possible cp.

I've been to a couple of lv 9 gyms in Philly and there was no point in training it up for me because the lowest mon was 2700+ so I'd be the first one to be kicked out (the ones I have higher than that are already in gyms)

About to hatch another 5k egg and than hopefully I'll receive my last 10k egg to complete my 9/9 10k egg roster. But for a baby mon event I have yet to hatch one (except for the Pichu I received before Xmas). Also I hatch so many Pikachu's since Santachu appeared

It makes more sense to have them in droves because they have a low capture rate. Players will use more balls to catch them and, in turn, will be more likely to purchase the bronze, silver and gold boxes as well as pokeballs in general.

Some spawns seem to spawn specifically evos only, so it might be that a lot of spawn points just happen to have the evos included in the spawn pool.

e.g. some Clefairy spawn points were observed to have a 1% Dragonite spawn rate but never Dratinis or Dragonairs
