What you need to look out for is Nintendo releasing 11.3 to fix Soundhax exploit. You should secure a secondary homebrew access point so that should Soundhax be fixed, you can still access homebrew from another access-point.

remember that you need to set up oothax for a specific fw (as you have to do with almost all entrypoints), so updating to 11.3 and expecting oothax to still work with the 11.2 savegame might end up badly for you.

So when the update hits make sure to set up a new entrypoint before you update, soundhax is guaranteed to be fixed in 11.3

No you need to get oot and the hax working Before you update to 11.3. Because to install the Oot3dhax payload, you need to be in homebrew. Or have a powersave to inject the modified savefile containing the payload directly into your copy of oot3d. Does this explanation help?

soundhax will get fixed so that the bug that triggers the exploit gets removed totally.

Other entrypoints might not get fixed (usually nintendo only tries to fix them once or twice, then gives up, that's why cubic ninja and freakyforms still work), but they will need to have firmware specific files installed into them (kinda like the otherapp.bin for soundhax, which depends on the fw of the ds that is running the exploit).

Depending on the exploit it is not as simple as changing a file on the sd card, and especially with stuff like OOT the "otherapp" payload is saved in the savegame, so you'll have to set that up before updating.


So the difference is that the soundhax exploit will be fixed and other entrypoints won't get fixed, but will need to get updated for the new firmware prior to updating.

Casual reminder that once fasthax releases you will be able to install any of the pic related games and nintendo won't be able to distinguish whether you actually bought them or not. You will be able to play them online, redownload them from the eshop and even if a firmware update comes you get to keep the game(s). Only way to lose them is to format your 3ds.

So you can't use the scanner at at all? When I filled requests here, I remember it increases to 10, and it stays at 10, allowing to keep scanning.

Anyway, if your box1 slot1 doesn't have the injected mon, you fucked up somewhere. Check the region settings, renamed code pasted in the correct folder path, enabled Code->SD, etc.

I will really recommend a physical copy. Because the hax is stored on the cart, meaning it will work on any other 3ds as well that as the /3ds/ folder and .3dsx boot. That's how I got homebrew acess across my multiple 3ds.

Forget luma. It's cfw that you need to actually hack your 3ds system to install.

Easier method to help inject here:

1. Open QR in a new tab
2. Copy that QR's URL link
3. Extract your save in JKSM and open in PkHexX
4. Alt + Click on the Arceus icon to load from URL
5. Set the mon in a free slot
6. Repeat for as many QRs as necessary
7. Save as main, and inject this save into your game
8. You now have all the injected mons that people requested, go on gts and trade to the requester.

Alright here is the exact sequence:
1. Nintendo releases 11.3 sysUpdate, You find a message telling you to update in order to continue playing online.
2. You DO NOT update yet.
3. Go into homebrew on your current 11.2 entrypoint
4. Download and install 11.3 payload for OotHax, updating it. If it's not available, wait a few hours.
5. Now you can leave homebrew and sysUpdate.
6. Continue using homebrew on 11.3.

I put the luma3ds folder in my 3ds folder and the arm9loaderhax.bin in the root of the SD
