Now that I think about it those actually parodied core elements on the franchise like trading without doing cliche bullshit, as terrible as JT was it is actually one of the best parodies for the games.

Chimpokomon is still better as a whole though.

It wasn't Pokemon as a whole, but I remember the episode of Recess where the kids are getting hooked on some parody of the Pokemon trading card game was pretty great.

I loved that episode since it perfectly reflected how those fucking cards were playground currency, especially the part where the market crashed after everyone moved onto a different fad. Even kids who didnt even understand how it worked were playing it.
