I think all the games are good. Just some more than others. Diamond and Pearl are the worst for their standards at the time though, they were a bit weak even then, let alone now (or after Platinum).

I want to do another run of Sun once the Bank updates though, I really liked it on my first playthrough but I'm interested to see how I feel on round 2. The Gen 5 games overall are my favourites still right now.

It was just kind of forgetable imo. Despite being the 2nd to last pokemon game I've played, I barely remember any of it. Just a lot of meh stuff in it. There are some stuff I like, such as being able to SR for most of the legendaries and being able to fly on mega latias / latios, but I was just kind of disapointed with it over all. Its not a bad game, just not that great.

HG/SS are the only Gen IV games I really like because they aren't as slow as the Sinnoh games. DP is also my least favorite set of games and I've also been playing since RBY. I just replayed through SS again and had a great time where I struggle to enjoy Platinum, which has its merits but is still a divisive game to me in terms of good/bad.

FRLG have to be the most underrated games on /vp/. it seems like no one appreciates them. they did exactly what they had to do.
