If it's the shell smash set you could be fine running neutral speed nature because it's still over 500 after the 2x boost, but maybe you might want something for speed just in case. It has an awesome movepool so it can run physical, special or mixed. Acrobatics is the only flying move it gets and after Shell smash and losing the white herb it his hard, so running physical to maximize it's damage is good, but then it forces you to use inaccurate stone edge or rock slide for the other stab, and I think it only has Earthquake, return and U-Turn for other physical moves, whereas Special has the accurate power gem for STAB, Psychic, dazzling gleam and HP Ice for coverage.

I'm running Jolly on mine because I don't plan on having him use Power Gem. But if you are running mixed, Naive or Naughty work. Adamant is more for killing people in a physical set.

I prefer physical Minior. Its special movepool is kind of weak, and I don't feel like Minior can afford to take natures that drop its defenses. You don't need a +speed nature, but proper EV investment in speed will let you outspeed some ridiculous shit. 168 lets you outspeed maximum speed Koko even if your shields haven't gone down yet.

Going all physical with Stone Edge rather than Power Gem means you're less likely to fall short if you have to start fighting before your shields have dropped. Unless you miss, of course. Shields Up Minior benefits more from Stone Edge, and will likely be a situation you find yourself in more often as people become familiar with Minior.

Mixed Minior sets tend to not put all that many EVs in special attack because Acrobatics is your main STAB. Both after Shell Smash, max Attack Stone Edge against max HP max Def Skarmory is an 80% chance to 2HKO, and partially invested Special Attack Power Gem against max HP negligible SpDef Skarmory is a guaranteed 2HKO. There's some consistency there, but I don't think it's worth it.

252+ Atk Technician Scizor-Mega Bullet Punch vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Minior: 240-284 (91.9 - 108.8%) -- 50% chance to OHKO

0 SpA Zapdos Thunderbolt vs. 0 HP / 0- SpD Minior: 260-308 (99.6 - 118%) -- 93.8% chance to OHKO

Additionally, physical Minior's Stone Edge after Shell Smash is a guaranteed 2HKO against 252 HP 252 Def Celesteela. Mixed Minior's Power Gem has only a small chance of 2HKOing Celesteela with 252 HP and NO special defense.

You get enough of a boost from the +2 SpA as is; don't run SpA EVs just for Gem, not to say whether you should use Gem or Stone Edge though

Consider explaining? Power Gem still has uses. Even uninvested and with a -SpAtk nature, Power Gem is a guaranteed 2HKO against Physical Skarmory, as opposed to Stone Edge's 86.7% chance with full investment and beneficial nature. Neutral SpAtk nature and a few SpAtk EVs doesn't change that. I'm not trying to say don't use Power Gem, I'm trying to say don't build Minior for Power Gem, because it doesn't need it to make use of the move. It does however, need all of the Attack EVs it can get, is a healthy smattering of HP and speed tuned to survive and outspeed exactly what you're aiming for. Because of how Shields Down changes Minior's stats, you need to stat him a little bit more carefully. 252/4/252 spreads don't cut it.

Nah, I'm running Shell Smash as a physical set. While Power Gem provides ways to break those physical walls, the amount damage I lose going mixed attack if my EVs are 252 in Attack and Sp. Attack is 30 before Smash (60 after).

While it can mean the difference between OHKOing a physically defensive Skarmory or not, I'm not expecting to run into too many physical dedicated walls in Battle Spot.

Jolly doesn't affect the durability which it wants so it doesn't die after Shell Smash (assuming white herb), while letting me outspeed most threats barring like, +1 Speed Pheromosa.

Naive is better if you're running mixed set with Focus Sash, but assuming you are >>31098248

Its got a similar enough colour sheme. Multicoloured spots, and has a black exterior. Gordo on the other hand has nothing do do with space, and doesn't crack open. Star Dream however does the exact same thing as Minior. Has a faceless exterior, and when its health has been depleted enough it cracks to reveal a cute face inside.

Not to mention, Gordo is a fucking basic bitch of an enemy. Literally one of the most generic names I could think of.
