Does anyone else prefer 2D pokemon games to the new 3D ones?

I hope they go back to 2D with the next generation of games on the switch.

They are not going back and you know it.

I'm usually a sprite guy. I think games like Metal Slug look fucking beautiful.
But Pokemon's sprites have always just been serviceable, nothing exceptional. The same applies to the 3d models too (could use more lively texturing) but at least the 3d models give us access to things like Amie and Refresh.

I've wanted full 3d since stadium.

Now I wouldn't be mortified if they went back to 3d battle sprites (even if it's unlikely) but we finally got a full 3d environment not locked to some grid, so they better not take that away from us.

They don't look very attractive but they're surely better than anything we had before. Graphics have always been one of GF's weak points in Pokemon.
