Alolan formes that are worse that their regular formes?

Alolan Exeggutor is a slow, frail mixed attacker. Normal Exeggutor at least has some special bulk (And lacks a 4x weakness to Ice)

Dugtrio and Raticate are the only ones that are outright worse.

And for Dugtrio, it's only worse because of having 10 less speed and no Arena Trap.

The rest are upgrades, or at least have a niche that makes them more worthwhile than their counterparts.

I.E. Regular Sandslash is completely outclassed by Excadrill at Sand Rush, but Slush Rush gives Alolan Sandslash a niche on hail teams, with Beartic being its only competition.

Raticate. Anons already said that it is bad, but why? It's simple: less Speed in exchange of bulk is not bad if it had at least 90 in either Defense or Sp. Defense, and it's typing means that even a Rock Smash from a Machop will leave it with half of HP.

Alolan just traded 10 speed points for 10 attack points, which is a really good trade off because it can learn trick room through TM

And having a 4x weakness to ice isn't bad, that's an alright trade off for losing a 4x bug weakness and a dark weakness (which hurts especially in alola, fucking everything can learn dark moves)

In terms of design, Dugtrio and Persian. They didn't do anything remotely clever with them, they just took the original Pokémon and added silly hair or gave it a fat face. Good for a laugh, sure, but that's about it.
I don't really like Alolan Raichu or Alolan Golem much either, but they're at least slightly less frivolous than the other two.

The design I'm fine with, and I do love steel types, but in a usability standpoint, oldtrio is better since it has 10 more speed and arena trap
