Eviolite Porygon is one of the premier tanks in LC too. Basically all 3 members of the family are viable. Even Porygon-Z was S-Tier in Smogon's viability ranking for 1v1 in Gen 6 before all the Z-moves.

I hate how Porygon 1 is the best looking version of him. I hate smooth, improved graphics duck.

Is Porygon's 3D model XY onwards the one with the least polygons? And if yes, is it be technically the least demanding performancewise to display on screen? Like you can have 20 Porygons on screen and the framerate on 3DS would still be better than a single jellyfish Lusamine

I don't know. I've never owned a Porygon because until X I was a FILTHY CASUAL, and in that game as well as OR I never managed to get one. I understand that in S&M you get one for free when you finish the game.

I never liked Porygon and I started with Red.
But in gen 7, I've discovered both 2 and Z. What incredible pokémon.

A lot of people say 2 is better than Z, but how can a Pokémon be better than it's evolution since Pokémon get stronger when they evolve by the very nature of the mechanic?

Gift Porygon in Platinum was great. Porygon2 evolves late, but still works out until it does, and Porygon-Z is just so fun to use.

I just watched Electric Soldier Porygon. It's actually Pikachu's Thunderbolt that blows up the missiles and causes the effect that induced those seizures. This happens around 17:10 not including the intro.

a fight with ash would probably start out with it vs pikachu, turning itself into ground type to tank the thunderbolt/electro ball, then probably winning with either a tri attack or maybe even something like turning pikachu into a water type and launching a zap cannon straight at it (its anime, making conversion act both in the 1 and 2 way wouldn't be all that strange)

then he'd have to use something more unorthodox, probably ending it by tricking the porygon (probably z) to turn itself into a type weak to the coverage move he's been trying to teach the pokemon of the week

It just depends on what job needs to be done. Porygon2 is an excellent tank, while Porygon-Z loses its bulkiness in exchange for a huge special attack. It's really just your preference
