I would just insert my Platinum Version, replay it and maybe inject the mons to Moon and maybe watch a no commentary playthrough. No way 4 or more New Formes are gonna make me buy a new game if I can play online like in XY, turning off new rules and play against people without these new Formes.

It'll be a mostly new story set in Kanto, Johto and Sinnoh and be GF's way of not having to do remakes of remakes after people start saying we've gone longer without a Kanot/Johto Remake before Gen 5 remakes come round

By main series director I mean the person who directs the base games of each generation. For gens 3-6 it was Masuda. Now that Ohmori fills that role someone else will probably do the DP remake when it comes up.

Sm are still by far the second easiest game of the franchise.
I just hope they have decency to put a special executive in charge like in HGSS/Pt/BW2. If masuda or ohmori end up doing them the remake is doomed.

Is there any chance for platinum to be the remake version? I know all past remakes have been two versions (FRLG,HGSS,ORAS) instead of Yellow, Crystal and Emerald. But then you have the thing in BW and B2W2 in which Cynthia references Dawn/Lucas as the trainer that faced against Giratina, essentially making DP irrelevant. Still, it's probably not going to happen

I honestly don't understand why people think Diamond and Pearl remakes aren't likely. With all the mutidimensional stuff going on in gens 6 and 7, and the legendaries of Diamond and Pearl are centered around time and space, remakes would be the perfect place to explore even further into this. It seems more likely they'll make remakes with how the lore currently is if anything.
